Fuel - Comparison - #3

Today we will talk about Liquified Petrolium Gas (LP Gas) or more commonly known as Propane. Don't confuse Propane with Natural Gas they are not the same. Propane is a byproduct of refining gasoline and generates 91,410 BTU's per gallon or 73% as much as our base fuel which is gasoline. Propane burns cleaner than #2 Fuel Oil but not as clean as Natural Gas. As of September 2013, the retail cost of propane was approximately $3.60 per gallon. Tomorrow we will talk about Natural Gas.
