Let's go check out the Game Room

We’ve mentioned having a finished Family Room or Game Room or Man Cave in the basement.  Here you are looking at a brand-new family room that is completely finished in the basement of our latest Modular Home right here in Chittenden County Vermont.

Oh look, here comes one of “the-boys” to see his future game room.  Up above is the finished Ranch Home that has three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, breakfast nook, mud room, and laundry.  The modular part of this fairly large home is beautiful, and the basement is finished off into a game room, music studio, office, ¾ bathroom, utility room and storage.  Yes, there is an exit to the outside.

The Boys will enjoy playing their games downstairs in the game room. Oh, did we mention that the entire basement has radiant heat so that every inch of the floor is warm and comfortable.

There is one really exciting part to this game room, it is a basement where we had to blast with dynamite in order to get deep enough.  Using explosives is something we seldom do but it does make all the difference when the excavator hits Ledge Rock and dynamite is the easiest and quickest solution.

Several years ago, we worked on a project in Southern  Vermont’s Windham County where an enormous amount of dynamite was used to create a large basement.  If you’d like to see the video of that blast let us know.

Doesn’t today’s photograph take you back to a comfortable youth when you could play in the basement?
